DETAILS:

Both sessions will offer 3 CEUs approved by NM Counseling and Therapy Practice Board as well as Association for Play Therapy.

OBJECTIVES:

Ethics:

  1. Increase knowledge of personal values to minimize transference in Play Therapy

  2. Increase awareness of unconscious bias in Play Therapy

  3. Increase awareness of perceptual filters to minimize impact in Play Therapy

OBJECTIVES:

Supervision:

  1. Identify and apply a developmental supervision model to supervising play therapists.

  2. Identify signs of burnout, compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma in supervisees and how to address this with them.

  3. Recognize the varying roles of the supervisor including didactic and evaluative responsibilities in overseeing the therapists work.
