This training will be an introduction for engaging and supporting therapists working with neurodiverse populations.

Aug 11, 2020, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
About the event
This training is for therapists, psychologists, social workers, teachers, and others who work with individuals with sensory and learning differences and are seeking additional training in how to support neurodiversity in their work. This training is based on the premise that play is the language of children, that growth and healing develop from fully and completely accepting the child exactly as she or he is and that an understanding of the individual’s sensory profile, processing speed, and learning style are essential to best practice support. As individuals engage in this training they will understand what it means to celebrate and honor neurodiversity while simultaneously utilizing current evidence-based approaches in the fields of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
